MISSION
The Mt. Zion Primitive
Baptist Church Foundation, Inc. enhances the vision and priorities
of Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church of The Macon Community
here in Tallahassee through its organized fundraising activities
and funds management. The Foundation, a non-profit corporation
established in 2006, is governed by an elected Board of Trustees,
whose members serve as advocates for the Church and its neighboring
community by seeking to improve the quality of life of young
people, while perpetuating the legacy of education established
by key leaders in Mt. Zion’s history.
Private support funds
scholarships and other initiatives geared towards the betterment
of our community. We know it is our generous donors who will
sustain our tradition of spiritual and academic excellence.
The Mt. Zion PBC Foundation
Inc. accomplishes its mission by:
• fostering relationships with members and friends
of Mt. Zion Macon and advocating charitable giving to this Non-Profit
Foundation per section 501(c)3 of The Internal Revenue Service
Tax Codes. Your contributions may qualify as a deduction on
your personal or corporate tax return.
• soliciting contributions for academic
purposes as part of Mt. Zion’s overall advancement effort;
• investing and disbursing funds to
meet current and future needs of Mt. Zion; and
• strengthening relationships with
donors to Mt.. Zion and her Foundation Our fundraising activities:
• exclusively support the mission of the
Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church, and
• involve church members, community
members, fellow churches, clergy, and businesses who understand
and share our commitment to improving the community through
providing academic scholarships and supporting related initiatives
at Mt. Zion.
Our donors have the right
to be:
• acknowledged and recognized appropriately for
their support;
• assured their gifts are used for the intended
purposes; and
• protected from improper or careless use of their
confidential information.
